Rick Davis Contracting is a proudly Australian, family-owned business that has been serving Sydney’s excavation and demolition needs for over 47 years. Founded by Rick Davis in 1978, what began with a handshake and hand-drawn plans has grown into a third-generation company recognised for delivering some of Sydney’s most complex residential and civil projects.
From humble beginnings, with just a few machines and a small team, Rick Davis built a company grounded in honesty, hard work and a relentless pursuit of quality. Today, that legacy continues through his wife Anita and sons Geoff and Tyson, each bringing their unique strengths to the business, combining generational knowledge with forward-thinking innovation.
Geoff has been a cornerstone of this legacy for 20 years. Having started alongside Rick and worked closely with him for a decade while completing his construction management studies at UTS, Geoff became deeply involved in the business, learning the ropes and contributing to its growth. Over the last 10 years, as Rick has gradually stepped into the background, Geoff has excelled in his role as Managing Director, continuing Rick’s legacy and further elevating the company’s success.
Meanwhile, Operations Manager Tyson Davis has spearheaded the adoption of cutting-edge technologies that enhance project efficiency and precision. This innovation ensures the company continues to evolve with the industry, all while staying true to the family values that have defined Rick Davis Contracting since day one.

Rick founded Rick Davis Contracting in 1978 after beginning his earthmoving career alongside his father. His work ethic, experience and commitment shaped the business into what it is today. Although Rick is sadly no longer with us, his legacy continues through his family, the RDC team and every project carrying his name.
Current Leadership
Anita Davis
Founder
Anita Davis has been a cornerstone of RDC since its early days, working part-time from the start and full-time in the office since 2005. Her dedication and leadership have been integral to the company’s growth.
Geoff Davis
Managing Director
Geoff Davis holds a Bachelor of Construction Management with Honours and joined the business in 2005. As Managing Director, he draws on his expertise to drive RDC’s continued success and innovation in the industry.
Tyson Davis
Operations Director
With a Bachelor of Project Management, majoring in Construction, Tyson Davis joined RDC in 2014 while still at university. His experience and passion for construction management now shape the company’s operations.
Charlie McKill
Construction Manager
Charlie McKill joined RDC in 2024 as Construction Manager, bringing valuable experience from his previous role as Operations Manager for an architecture firm. He now leads projects with a focus on efficiency and quality.
Rory O'Connor
Project Manager
Rory O’Connor joined us in 2026, bringing more than a decade of experience in the construction industry, with expertise in structural engineering and mobile crane operations. He holds a Bachelor of Civil Engineering (Honours) from USYD, providing valuable technical knowledge to the RDC team.
